After being postponed in 2021, the 18th Edition of the Australian Masters Games will now be held in Perth in 2022. This will be the second time the city has hosted the event (the first was in 1993) and is expected to attract over 6,000 participants competing across 40 different sports.
The event is open to anyone, providing the minimum age requirements are met, which for most sports is 30 years and over. There are no qualifying standards so competitors of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
The Games encourages a positive, active lifestyle, with an emphasis on social engagement, health and wellbeing. With such a wide range of sports on offer, including individual and team sports, there is a sport for everyone. So whether you’re into beach volleyball or bocce, golf or dragon boat, why not have a go?
However, its not all about the sports – the Australian Masters Games also hosts a variety of events including an Opening and Closing Ceremony, as well as a mid-week party. Information on entertainment acts will be provided closer to the event date, and posted here and on our Facebook page.
